1.教材分析
本單元圍繞“How do you get to school?”展開教學活動。以對上學過程中所要進行的活動為話題,要求學生在學習一些日;顒釉~匯的基礎(chǔ)上,恰當?shù)倪\用一般現(xiàn)在時來描述自己對交通工具的表達與運用。通過不斷地口語練習,使學生積極參與、合作,從而培養(yǎng)學生的綜合語言運用能力。
2.學情分析
我們這里的學生地處偏遠的南部山區(qū),各種條件相對比較落后。這對課程的有效進行是一項挑戰(zhàn)。且教材以“任務型語言教學模式”來展開教學。這需要學生們具備一定的交際能力、語言結(jié)構(gòu)。因此,在教學過程中,加強對學生的口語交際能力練習,讓學生在具體的情景中學習,不但能培養(yǎng)學生對該課程的喜愛,也有利于學生將理論與實踐結(jié)合,做到學以致用。作為教師,老師也應當兼顧到這三類學生:Top students, Medium students and poor students,要分別讓他們吃得飽、吃的好、吃得了。
3.教學目標
a) 知識目標
通過本課,學生要能夠掌握以下詞匯與句型:
詞匯:Taxi, Plane, Bus, Ship, Subway, Bike
句型:How do you get to school?

b) 技能目標
學生能流利地談論對交通工具的表達與運用;
能正確使用一般現(xiàn)在時;
學生能夠互相用英語交流,初步培養(yǎng)學生的語言綜合運用能力

交際策略:學生能與他人協(xié)作交流,培養(yǎng)良好的交際能力;
資源策略:學生能充分利用各種資源,幫助自己主動學習;

5.教學方法
采用任務型教學法
【點撥】本單元是圍繞學生對自己出行的工具而展開教學,所以學生的興趣極高。又因為與自己的日常生活密切相關(guān),所以比較容易接受。重點是讓學生正確使用一般現(xiàn)在時與他人交流。這是重點也是難點。本節(jié)課的總體設(shè)計應體現(xiàn)課標中的從學生的學習興趣、生活體驗和認知水平出發(fā),倡導體驗、實踐、參與、合作與交流的學習方式和任務型教學途徑的教學理念。

Step2.Review
Ok, good!So, today we are going continue to learn Unit4:How do you get to school? You know, last class, we have leant some new words of transportations. Now, let’s review. Please look at the PPT. (Ask students to say the words of each picture. They are: taxi, plane, bus, ship, subway, and bike)
Step3.New stuff
Yes, you guys all do the good job. Now, today, we will learn how to use these tools to communicate with each other. There are some set structures you need know, and please read after me: by the taxi, by plane, by bus, ride bike, take the subway, by ship.
Ok, now, I need some volunteers. Avery, how do you get to school? Bus!Ok, good. Ask others. Now, look at the blackboard!Introduce the sentence.
Step4.Activities:
Ask few students, round a circle, start with teacher, ask the questions: how do you get to school? Each student get one answer.
