國(guó)際青年節(jié)(International Youth Day)是一個(gè)由聯(lián)合國(guó)發(fā)起設(shè)立的節(jié)日。1999年聯(lián)合國(guó)通過(guò)54/120號(hào)決議，將每年的8月12日定為國(guó)際青年節(jié)。第一個(gè)國(guó)際青年節(jié)是在2000年8月12日。
International Youth Day (International Youth Day) is a sponsored by the United Nations day. The 1999 UN resolution 54/120, to August 12th of each year as international youth day. The first International Youth Day is on August 12, 2000.
國(guó)際青年節(jié)是全世界革命青年反帝國(guó)主義、反軍國(guó)主義、反世界大戰(zhàn)的紀(jì)念日。它的產(chǎn)生背景，是在第一次帝國(guó)主義世界大戰(zhàn)打得昏天地黑，各國(guó)社會(huì)民主黨都一齊在保護(hù)資產(chǎn)階級(jí)祖國(guó)的名義之下，而完全出賣(mài)工人階級(jí)的利益的時(shí)候舉行的。當(dāng)時(shí)各國(guó)革命青年于1915五年在瑞京舉行國(guó)際青年大會(huì)，決定國(guó)際青年反對(duì)世界大戰(zhàn)一致的步驟，并決定以每年的九月第一星期日為國(guó)際青年日。自1915年九月第一次國(guó)際青年紀(jì)念大示威舉行以后，全世界的共產(chǎn)主義青年運(yùn)動(dòng)便如潮水一般的洶涌起來(lái)了。在反帝國(guó)主義大戰(zhàn)，反國(guó)主義以及一切革命斗爭(zhēng)中，都表現(xiàn)出了革命青年的重大作用。
