Oliver Twist, one of the most famous works of Charles Dickens’, is a novel reflecting the tragic fact of the life in Britain in 18th century.
The author who himself was born in a poor family wrote this novel in his twenties with a view to reveal the ugly masks of those cruel criminals and to expose the horror and violence hidden underneath the narrow and dirty streets in London.
The hero of this novel was Oliver Twist, an orphan, who was thrown into a world full of poverty and crime. He suffered enormous pain, such as hunger, thirst, beating and abuse. While reading the tragic experiences of the little Oliver, I was shocked by his sufferings. I felt for the poor boy, but at the same time I detested the evil Fagin and the brutal Bill. To my relief, as was written in all the best stories, the goodness eventually conquered devil and Oliver lived a happy life in the end. One of the plots that attracted me most is that after the theft, little Oliver was allowed to recover in the kind care of Mrs. Maylie and Rose and began a new life. He went for walks with them, or Rose read to him, and he worked hard at his lessons. He felt as if he had left behind forever the world of crime and hardship and poverty.
How can such a little boy who had already suffered oppressive affliction remain pure in body and mind? The reason is the nature of goodness. I think it is the most important information implied in the novel by Dickens—he believed that goodness could conquer every difficulty. Although I don’t think goodness is omnipotent, yet I do believe that those who are kind-hearted live more happily than those who are evil-minded.
For me, the nature of goodness is one of the most necessary character for a person. Goodness is to humans what water is to fish. He who is without goodness is an utterly worthless person. On the contrary, as the famous saying goes, ‘The fragrance always stays in the hand that gives the rose’, he who is with goodness undoubtedly is a happy and useful person. People receiving his help are grateful to him and he also gets gratified from what he has done, and thus he can do good to both the people he has helped and himself.
To my disappointment, nowadays some people seem to doubt the existence of the goodness in humanity. They look down on people’s honesty and kindness, thinking it foolish of people to be warm-hearted. As a result, they show no sympathy to those who are in trouble and seldom offer to help others. On the other hand, they attach importance to money and benefit. In their opinion, money is the only real object while emotions and morality are nihility. If they cannot get profit from showing their ‘kindness’, they draw back when others are faced with trouble and even hit a man when he is down. They are one of the sorts that I really detest.
Francis Bacon said in his essay, ‘Goodness, of all virtues and dignities of the mind, is the greatest, being the character of the Deity, and without it, man is a busy, mischievous, wretched thing, no better than a kind of vermin.’

Oliver Lester, a little boy, grew up in a poor-house, and oliver twist, an orphan, read notes. At the age of nine, he was apprenticed to a coffin shop, and hunger and humiliation escaped him.On the street, he was found by the pickpocket, and he pulled the thief closer.Later, he was taken in by the kind Mr. Brown luo, but unfortunately he was robbed by the pickpockets and was forced to take part in the robbery. But the relief was that oliver had suffered, but he was reunited with his family, and the bad people were punished.
This is the main content of oliver twist. The great writer dickens used this work to show us the light and ugliness, justice and evil of the 19th century British society. At the same time, it tells people a truth: justice will prevail over evil!
At the beginning, I felt a kind of "cold humor" in the article, and in many cases, the article used a humorous way to satirize the darkness of society. In addition to this way, every character in the novel, dickens does not describe them in the most distinctive language. The good, brave, strong oliver, the kind and beautiful maiden, the amiable old gentleman, the malicious thief, the fierce bandit, the description of each character is vivid.
The author also arranges coincidences. For example, oliver went to the streets with the thief for the first time. The stolen object happened to be the friend of his savior and his deceased father. When he was forced to steal, the thief was exactly his aunt. These things that are unlikely to happen in the real world are cleverly and reasonably ed into the articles to make the plot twists and turns vividly.
After reading this novel, my heart only has two words: moved.Although olivers childhood was difficult and difficult, he was also lucky because so many good people were helping him. Many of the kind-hearted people in this article did not abandon oliver to the den of thieves, but believed him and helped him from the beginning to the end.
Oliver entered the den several times and was forced to take part in thefts and robberies, but his heart had been good, and he had not been infected by that bad climate.I thought that olivers self-rejection and "silt and undying" had to do with the help of good samaritans.Their sincere care and care made oliver feel the warmth and love of the world, which led him to fight bravely and resolutely against evil.
Throughout the whole novel, the power of love, the warmth of the world, the message that justice will triumph over evil.It tells people to distinguish between good and evil, to tell people to understand love, to love others, to tell people that there is love, justice and kindness, and to read the book of "oliver twist".
I think I dont have to praise the book earlier, I just want to say that it has taught me a lot of things.

Reading "Oliver Twist" was an eye-opening experience for me. The character of Oliver is so inspiring. He was born into a tragic situation but he always had a positive attitude. His longing for a better life and a real family drove him to keep going.
This novel also reflects the social problems of that time, such as child labor and the gap between the rich and the poor. It makes me think about how we can make our society more equal and fair. The story also shows the ugliness of human nature, such as the greed and selfishness of some characters. However, it also emphasizes the beauty of kindness and generosity. "Oliver Twist" is a story that makes me think about the value of life. Oliver had to endure so much pain and suffering, but he still fought for his life. His story tells us that life is precious and we should make the most of it.

"Oliver Twist" is a classic that has left a deep mark on my heart. The story of Oliver, an orphan who endures countless hardships, is both heart-wrenching and inspiring. In a society filled with greed and cruelty, Oliver manages to maintain his innocence and kindness. This makes me realize that ones inner strength and virtue can withstand the harshest of environments.
The vivid portrayal of the Victorian era in the book also opened my eyes to the social inequalities and injustices of that time. It made me think about how fortunate we are today and how we should strive to create a more just and compassionate world. We should learn from Olivers unwavering spirit and be brave enough to face difficulties and uphold what is right.

After reading "Oliver Twist", I was deeply affected by the power of hope and kindness in the story. Oliver, who was constantly tossed about in a sea of misfortune, never gave up his hope for a better life. His hope led him to encounter some kind-hearted people who extended a helping hand to him.
This novel taught me that hope is like a lighthouse in the dark, guiding us through difficult times. And kindness is a force that can transform the lives of others. We should always be hopeful and kind in our own lives. Moreover, it made me understand that we should not judge a person by their appearance or social status. Just as Oliver, who was poor and an orphan, had a noble heart.

Reading "Oliver Twist" gave me a profound understanding of the complexity of human nature. In the story, we see both the extreme evil of some characters, such as Fagin and Bill Sikes, and the pure goodness of Oliver and some other kind people.
This contrast made me realize that human nature has both good and bad sides. We should strive to develop our good qualities and resist the temptations of evil. The book also made me aware of the importance of social reform. The miserable lives of the poor and the oppressed in the story show that a just and reasonable social system is essential. We should work towards a better society where everyone can live with dignity.

"Oliver Twist" is a moving tale that has taught me many valuable lessons. Olivers experiences of being an orphan, facing starvation, and being forced into a life of crime against his will made me feel great sympathy for him.
However, his ability to rise above these difficulties and maintain his integrity is truly admirable. We should also be persistent in pursuing our goals and dreams.
