March 12 is Arbor Day. When we hear Arbor Day, we will definitely think about planting trees. Of course, on that day, my family and I also made a small tree in front of our house.
On Saturday morning, when the sun was shining and my parents were going to work, I called on them and told my parents that today was Arbor Day, and they agreed happily.
My father carried a shovel in his left hand and a kettle in his right hand. My mother was carrying a small sapling, and they hurried out of the door, and my sister and I followed them, jumping and jumping.
We came to a clearing, see where the land is fertile, flat, dad put down the kettle, in the above easily dug a hole, mother handed the saplings to dad, dad put the saplings into the pit, to see my sister and I have nothing to do, let me give buried pit. I took the heavy shovel and shoved the earth into it, and I said to myself, wow! The shovel was so heavy, how could it be like a hundred tons of iron in his hand! But I really admire the strength of dads hand. Thinking, thinking, I also filled in the pit. Next, it was the trampling of the troublemaker sister. Her sister went to the sapling, like a madman who was maddening, tramping and jumping on the soil with her feet, and in a moment she had finished the trample, and her sister had already been drenched in sweat. Finally, the mother came into the game. She took the kettle, bent down, poured water on the sapling, and then gave it to me. At last I hurried upstairs with my sister.

In many countries it has long been the tradition to hold an annual tree or forest festival. The origin of such celebrations dates back to antiquity and is in the dawn of religious feeling and awe for what trees represented. However, Arbor Day, as it is commonly known today, is of American origin and evolved from conditions peculiar to the at Plains. It was first observed in Nebraska in 1872.
The idea, conceived by J.S. Morton, then a member of the Nebraska State Board of Agriculture, was one of forest conservation. It was a move to promote replanting, following deforestation, and to plant up treeless areas. The idea has spread widely to other lands where it is variously celebrated as the Festival of Trees, ening Week of Japan, The New Years Days of Trees in Israel, The Tree-loving Week of Korea, The Reforestation Week of Yugoslavia, The Students Afforestation Day of Iceland and The National Festival of Tree Planting in India. Arbor Day in its various forms is now recognised in more than fifty count.

March 12 this year is the annual Arbor Day. Every year, there are so many people with small saplings that come to a piece of land or wasteland. Pick up the spade, dig a hole, put the saplings in, shovel the soil back, press flat and water. This is a meaningful Arbor Day. But, in your mind, is there a small tree that stands for green?
On Arbor Day, if you do not sow in your heart, you are doing nothing. Because youre just doing it. If you dont really care for the environment, you dont have a green heart, the little tree will wither in the miasma. This Arbor Day is meaningful only if you protect it from the bottom of your heart.
If there is an instrument that can penetrate the mind, you can take a good look: it is full of love, it is full of environmental protection. You can even see a sapling as a towering tree, and see his heart being covered with green shade. You can also look at the darkness of the other mind: in his heart, there is only a gray one, and you can hardly see anything else!
Arbor Day is not to let us plant the tree on the ground, it is not as if someone who gave you a task, you must complete. This annual Arbor Day is a small tree that lets you plant a spiritual symbol of environmental protection, life and green in your heart. On that day, even if you dont go to the clearing, you dont buy saplings, you dont plant trees there, as long as you have a green heart. As long as you plant trees in your heart; As long as you have a green idea. Such Arbor Day is the true Arbor Day, such Arbor Day is the meaningful Arbor Day!
From now on, from the Arbor Day, in your heart to plant the heart of the small tree!

Yesterday was the annual Arbor Day. In order to make a
contribution to nature, today I went to plant trees. We chose Nanshan. So I took two saplings and shovel and set off.
When we came to Nanshan, we began to look for a place.
After looking for a while, I found a wonderful place. There is plenty of sunshine and fertile soil here. It seems that this is a land of peace. I looked at it, Said, "just do it. So I took up the shovel and dug it up. In order to make the tree strong, I dug a hole 30 centimeters deep and 20 centimeters in diameter, and just
excavated the first spade. The smell of the earth was always
digging. It was always annoying when I dug a small hole. I was very angry. I started to dig and dig patiently, and be
accomplished. But I was sweating and weak limbs. So I sat on the ground, I took it. Drink from the kettle, ah! Its so comfortable. At this time, the breeze blows, and the woods make a loud noise, as if the woods are playing a welcome symphony for us. I think we should add new members to them, and they will thank us again. After a rest, my energy is replenished.
We began to work again. We put the trees and watered them.
I said to do it. I picked up the saplings and put them in the first dug pit, filled them first, and then stepped on the soil to fix the saplings, and then watered them. Ha ha, its done. I have an
unspeakable joy in my heart. I think this is what people often call a sense of achievement! Touching the little tree, we reluctantly went down the mountain. On the way, my heart began to
daydream. In another 20 years, the little tree I planted will grow into a towering tree, and I couldnt help laughing.

植樹(shù)節(jié)的英語(yǔ)作文 9
The first Arbor Day took place on April 10, 1872 in Nebraska. It was the brainchild of Julius Sterling Morton (1832-1902),a Nebraska journalist and politician originally from Michigan. Throughout his long and productive career, Morton worked to improve agricultural techniques in his adopted state and throughout the United States when he served as President Grover Clevelands Secretary of Agriculture. But his most important legacy is Arbor Day.
Morton felt that Nebraskas landscape and economy would benefit from the wide-scale planting of trees. He set an example himself planting orchards, shade trees and wind breaks on his own farm and he urged his neighbours to follow suit. Mortons real opportunity, though, arrived when he became a member of Nebraskas state board of agriculture. He proposed that a special day be set aside dedicated to tree planting and increasing awareness of the importance of trees. Nebraskas first Arbor Day was an amazing success. More than one million trees were planted. A second Arbor Day took place in 1884 and the young state made it an annual legal holiday in 1885, using April 22nd to coincide with Mortons birthday.
In the years following that first Arbor Day, Mortons idea spread beyond Nebraska with Kansas, Tennessee, Minnesota and Ohio all proclaiming their own Arbor Days. Today all 50 states celebrate Arbor Day although the dates may vary in keeping with the local climate. (State Arbor Days) At the federal level, in 1970, President Richard Nixon proclaimed the last Friday in April as National Arbor Day. Arbor Day is also now celebrated in other countries including Australia. Variations are celebrated as Greening Week of Japan, The New Years Days of Trees in Israel, The Tree-loving Week of Korea, The Reforestation Week of Yugoslavia, The Students Afforestation Day of Iceland and The National Festival of Tree Planting in India. Julius Sterling Morton would be proud. Sometimes one good idea can make a real difference.
For the homeowner, Arbor Day is an excellent opportunity to take stock of the trees on your property and plan for the future. Inspect your trees. Note any broken branches or evidence of disease or insect infestation. Think about how planting new trees might improve the look of your property or provide wind or heat protection. Take a trip to your local nursery to see whats available and to get new ideas. Walk around your neighbourhood. Are there any public areas where tree planting or tree maintenance might make a real difference to your community? Talk with your neighbours. Find out what their opinions are. And, oh yes, plant a tree.

Everything recovers and the spring breeze blows. Arbor Day is coming. Many students in our class come to Jinan Botanical Garden to plant trees happily, and I am no exception. It seems that today is a very happy day.
When I came to the botanical garden, I saw a large group of people coming to plant trees. We hurriedly took a straight little sapling and a shovel. I started planting trees. I picked up the heavy shovel and ate with my hands and feet. I finally shoveled a small piece of soil and continued my efforts. It took me a long time to dig a hole in the tree. Although the tree hole is not very deep, it makes me sweat. The next step is to surround the soil. Mother came to hold the sapling. I scooped up the soil around the saplings with a shovel to fill the pit. The saplings have been repaired. What should I do next? Its time to water. At this time, my father was still carrying a bucket of water and waited in a long line before he finally received it. I took the bucket from my father and slowly poured the water into the tree pit. After the seedlings were planted, I wrote a blessing to the tree and hung it on the trunk. I hope the tree can grow healthily, happily and healthily, and bring us a shade as soon as possible. Although we are very tired today, we planted the tree of happiness with our young hands. This is also a great good thing for future generations. We feel very happy and proud.
I hope we can work together to love trees and protect the ecological environment. If we can plant and protect trees, our environment will be better and better, and our home will be more and more beautiful.

At 8:00 on March 12, all our fourth grade students gathered at the north gate of Qujiang park. The teacher said to us in a poetic voice: "today, we came to Qujiang park to add a green to the earth and nature we depend on for survival. Therefore, please come on!"
After listening to the teachers encouragement, the students confidence increased greatly. This tree planting is one for every two people. I happen to be assigned to partner with Deputy monitor Zhou Jiakang, which makes me very excited. I saw Chen teacher shovel the soil, digging holes were not what difficulties, and then dig with a spade. At first, it was relatively easy, but the more you shovel down, the more difficult it is. When you shovel a pit less than ten centimeters high, I am sweating "I wont shovel!"
I said angrily to the pit, "no, this is the crystallization of the sweat of our two eyes.". But this tuhang is always against me. What should I do? At this time, Mr. Chen seemed to have guessed my mind, took the initiative to come to me and kindly said to me, "cant you shovel? Ill help you.". Then he grabbed the shovel in my hand and shoveled it skillfully. Finally, I helped the tree, and Mr. Chen buried the little tree again, leaving only watering. At this time, Hu Rongkang grabbed the bucket in my hand and said to me, "Ill fetch water for you.". Before I could answer, he rushed to the river and helped me get the water. I poured the water on the little tree myself.
With a "click", Mr. Chen took a picture of us. In the picture, there was a small wooden card hanging on the small tree, which said: add a piece of green to nature.

Facing the warm spring breeze and humming a light song, more than 70 students of Wuai primary school came to Mashan to carry out tree planting activities on the morning of March 12.
When I got to Mashan, as soon as the teacher finished talking about the precautions, I couldnt wait to run to get a sapling. Ah, this sapling is really tall. It stands a long way higher than me. My little friends and I need to install a "luxury house" for it. Just do it. We picked up the shovel and dug a hole "Hey, hey, hey". Due to the sunny weather in recent days, the soil was hard. It took us nine cattle and two tigers to dig a shallow hole. We couldnt put down the "big guy" at all. Seeing that other groups had made small achievements, we were in a hurry and decided to dig holes by planing. But I didnt expect that the hole became wider, but it was still not deep enough to put the saplings.
The teacher on one side saw it, smiled and said to us, "your seedling is too big. Go and change it into a small one. Lets plant the big one." In order not to waste time, we had to abandon the "big guy" and replace it with a small sapling. We put it straight into the small pit. Hey, its not big, its just good. Then, we pushed the surrounding soil into the small pit with a shovel and stepped on it hard, and the young trees stood firm. Finally, I picked up the bucket and fed it enough water.
The branches and leaves of the sapling swayed gently in the breeze, as if waving to us and saying, "thank you for setting up a new home for me!" Let alone how happy we were when we met! I really hope we can see the lush mountains when we come back to Mashan next year.

Today is Dr. Sun Yat Sens memorial day, that is, tree planting day on March 12. In order to commemorate Dr. Sun Yat Sens contribution to the country, the people of the motherland set today as a day to add new green to the motherland.
Its spring now. In the morning, Xiao Hong and I went to the suburbs to plant trees. We walked happily on the road. We saw beautiful flowers, tall trees and a fiery red sun hanging in the air. The sun was shining on my head, and drops of sweat fell from my head.
When I got there, I took out a small shovel and dug a tree pit in a sunny place. Then I put a small sapling in. Xiao Hong held the small tree. I picked up the shovel and filled in the soil. In this way, the small sapling was planted. Xiaohong went to the river to fetch water with a bucket. When she came back, she slowly poured the water into the tree pit. I was so tired that I was sweating. I wiped the sweat on my head with a towel. Xiao Hong looked at me and laughed, and a passing bird also laughed.
The tree planting task was completed. When Xiaohong and I left, we were worried that someone would destroy the small tree, so we tied a red scarf on it, which said "love greening and defend the motherland". At this time, a bird stopped on the sapling, as if to say to me: "children, I will build a nest on it!" The little tree also seemed to say to me, "little master, dont go. You add greening." you must thrive, and your efforts will make the motherland more beautiful! "

Today is the annual Arbor Day. People say they want to plant trees on arbor day. The first grade team members in our school want to plant growing trees in our school.
The students in our class envy the little sisters in grade one. We all want to see them plant trees. The teacher also suggested that we plant trees at home. The teacher said, "we can plant a tree of hope or an evergreen tree of friendship." I planted a tree of hope, which is a pomegranate tree. Because our neighbor has pomegranate trees at home, I like them very much. In summer, pomegranate trees will bloom fiery red flowers, like burning torches, and look like gorgeous sunset glow from a distance. Looking closer, it looks like a small horn, which looks very beautiful against the green leaves.
In autumn, some of the leaves on pomegranate trees are still so green, some have become golden yellow, and others fall to the ground, and all the flowers fall. Instead of them, big pomegranates bend the branches.
Im going to plant a tree at the back door of my house. I first brought the saplings, dug a hole with a shovel, and then put the saplings into it. I gently shoveled them into the soil, buried them, flattened them, and then poured some water. I stood by the small tree, looked at the small tree I had just planted by myself, and silently made a wish. I hope the small pomegranate tree can grow healthily and quickly, and I also hope I can grow up quickly and go to a good university.
Looking at my pomegranate tree, I wonder what kind of tree the students have planted, whether it is a tree of hope or an evergreen tree of friendship.
March 12 this year is an extraordinary arbor day. Because it is the day when we plant the future and hope.

On this years Arbor Day, the school launched a new green environmental protection activity. We all took an active part in this meaningful activity. In the afternoon, we came to the small trees on campus with buckets and environmental placards. When we began to water the trees, the teacher told us: "everyone should be light when watering or hanging placards. The small trees are sleeping. Dont wake them up." As soon as the teachers voice fell, the students were busy. Some were watering the small tree, some were cleaning up the garbage for the small tree, some were hanging placards for the small tree with light hands and feet, and others were going to pick up water. As soon as I was disbanded, I rushed to the pool. When I got there, I was stunned. There were so many people and everyone scrambled to be the first. I didnt want to fall behind. I hurried forward to fetch water for the little tree. I ran back and forth with the bucket for many times. I was so tired that I was sweating and out of breath. Looking at my "love tree" drinking water happily, I was not so happy. The little tree stretched out and nodded to me with a smile. I carefully hung the placard I made by myself on its chest: everyone is responsible for protecting the environment! Im a little guard of green environmental protection. Im proud! Im proud! Im happy!
