　　黃水塘里游著白鴨，

　　高粱梗油青的'剛高過頭，

　　這跳動的心怎樣安插，

　　田里一窄條路，八月里這憂愁？

　　天是昨夜雨洗過的，山崗

　　照著太陽又留一片影；

　　羊跟著放羊的轉進村莊，

　　一大棵樹蔭下罩著井，又像是心！

　　從沒有人說過八月什么話，

　　夏天過去了，也不到秋天。

　　但我望著田壟，土墻上的瓜，
